Applications are presently being invited for the CSA Group Graduate Research Scholarship award program in Standards Development in Canada for the 2021/2022 school session.

Broad research helps CSA Group better comprehend our changing world so it can
continue to adjust and flourish. It, therefore, supports and carries out research in new and
developing areas that have the prospect to impact the world all around us.

Unquestionably, the outcomes and recommendations from its research translate into three things:

  • It contributes to the development of future standards solutions,
  • Offers short-term guidance to industries on the creation and adoption of new technologies, and
  • Assists to prove its on-going devotion to building a better, safer, more sustainable world.

Based on this, the aim of the CSA Group Graduate Research Scholarship award program is to assist graduate scholars in the pursuit of research linked to standards. For a fact, graduate candidates schooling at the Masters level in a publicly funded, licensed Canadian university are qualified to obtain the award. But that is not all, the research can be carried out in any area (e.g. social sciences, engineering, health sciences) and has to include standards as a constituent of the research.

However, at this moment, it is crucial to state that the topic does not have to be linked to an area where CSA Group already has standards. The research may examine features of an existing standard or may investigate an area for future standards development.
